The Four Pillars of Gujarat's Agriculture
Gujarat is home to four major state agricultural universities (SAUs) that are the backbone of the state's farming success. Each university specializes in the crops and climate of its specific region. Whether you are a small farmer or a large enterprise, these universities offer free or low-cost services that can double your income through scientific intervention.
Services Available for Every Farmer
Farmers should actively contact these institutions for specialized support.

How to Access Training and Seeds
Every university has a "Krishi Vigyan Kendra" (KVK) at the district level. You can visit these KVKs for free soil testing, purchase of certified seeds (Sarkari Beej), and attending "Krishi Melas" (Farmers' Fairs) where new technologies are demonstrated.
