Application Rates
Vermiwash is a potent extract collected from the bodies and active burrows of earthworms. It cannot be used directly. The golden rule for foliar spray is a 10% dilution (1 Liter Vermiwash + 9 Liters Water). For soil drenching or drip irrigation, you can use a 20% dilution. Generally, 10-15 Liters of purely extracted Vermiwash is sufficient for one acre over a crop cycle.
When to Apply
1. Foliar Spray: The most popular and effective method. Sprayed as a fine mist on leaves during evenings, the stomata absorb it within minutes. Perfect for rapid nutrient correction.
2. Seed Treatment/Root Dip: Soaking seeds or dipping seedling roots (like tomatoes, onions, chilis) in a 10% vermiwash solution for 30 minutes before planting reduces transplant shock and prevents root rot.
3. Fertigation: Running it through the drip irrigation system directly stimulates the soil microbiome in the root zone.
